Our calling is clear. Our song is unique.
Welcome to Project Mockingbird
Perched on the campus of Southern Methodist University on Dallas’ iconic Mockingbird Lane, Highland Park United Methodist Church (HPUMC) has served as a dynamic force of generosity, healing, and empowerment for our city since 1916. As we approach our 110th anniversary as a church, we are more committed than ever to ensuring that Dallas not only grows but truly thrives today, tomorrow, and for generations to come.
HPUMC’s capital campaign, Project Mockingbird, raised over $46 million to make this vision a reality—investing in the people and places that will shape the future of our church, our leaders, and our community partners.

Our Mission
JOIN THE ECHO
Thy Kingdom Come
For thousands of years, Christians around the world have prayed the words Jesus taught us in the Lord’s Prayer. Even if you didn’t grow up in church, you likely know how it goes: "Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name..." In some ways, this prayer has become so familiar that we often say it without really considering what it’s saying to us. Join the echo as we unpack this ancient prayer line by line, in hopes that it becomes new for us once more in surprising and inspiring ways.
